This article in Seed magazine states that over 450 animal species have been found to be homosexual. The scientist who wrote the article describes enthusiastic lesbian sexual encounters occurring every two hours among some of our closest primate relatives, and all-male orgies among giraffes, as just a tiny sample of the sort of stuff animals are up to. This is a kind of long article, but it was really an eye-opener for me! I had no idea there was all this queer stuff going on in the animal kingdom! WOW! Rock on! :) Go give it a read.
Daniel Craig has revealed that he is pressuring producers to include a gay scene in the next James Bond film.
The 'Casino Royale' star is riding a wave of popularity following the success of his first turn as the legendary superspy and is intent on revolutionising the franchise by making its lead character more unpredictable.
In addition to pushing for a gay scene in 'Bond 22', the British thesp has assured bosses that he is more than prepared to do a full frontal nude scene to please his male and female admirers.
He said: "Why not? I think in this day and age, fans would have accepted it.
"I mean, look at (British TV series) 'Doctor Who' - that has had gay scenes in it and no one blinks an eye."
This is my favorite version of Pippin's Song -- much better than the one of him singing in LotR, because this version doesn't have the disgusting eating noises of the chicken bones snapping and orcs and stuff like that. This is a "cleaned up" version that a fan actually set as a backdrop to a video for the third Harry Potter movie, and it works surprisingly well.
This is Billy Boyd singing a Britney Spears tune on the Sharon Osbourne show a while back. He's got a really nice voice. I think he does better unaccompanied on acoustic guitar than Britney ever could have done; she'd have been lost without backup and a band.
And here he is singing the Proclaimers' "Oh Jean" at TheOneRing.net Oscar Party:
I've been watching too much YouTube as usual, mostly interviews with actors I like, but also lately I've gotten into video mashups and some fan videos set to music. Typically, fan videos are montages of random stillshot or video clips of their favorite actors with a song playing in the background. My least favorite fan vids use songs they simply like and which have NOTHING to do with the clips -- the worst offenders have both a horrible tune and an annoying set of lyrics; dippy synth pop tunes ruin it for me as well as rap songs. The best montages will have some organization or theme and the song will be tolerable at the very least.
This video is different. It's more like a professional music video, but the maker has set up Return of the Kings clips to follow the lyrics of the song ("I put my trust in you" for example shows Frodo hanging from the precipice in Mount Doom at the end of the movie and Sam pulling him up). The song it's set to is Linkin Park's "In The End." I just thought it was a very good video and was well crafted from both artistic and technical standpoints, and I wanted to share it.
